Humberto Ramos
Humberto Ramos began his career as a professional cartoonist in 1993 with Milestone Media. Soon after, his work led him to work on Impulse for DC Comics. In 1996, he collaborated for the first time with Marvel Comics and Wildstorm Productions, Jim Lee's independent publishing house, where in 1997, he co-founded the Cliffhanger imprint with artists Joe Madureira and J. Scott Campbell, launching his original titles, ""Crimson"" and ""Out There."" In 2003, he worked on ""Peter Parker, Spider-Man"" and ""Spectacular Spider-Man"" for the house of ideas. Later, in 2005, he launched another original title, ""Revelations,"" this time published by Dark Horse. In 2006, he worked on ""Wolverine,"" ""New X-Men,"" ""X-Men,"" and ""Runaways v3."" In 2011, Humberto began a new adventure that would last five years as the main artist of “The Amazing Spider-Man,” the flagship title of MARVEL COMICS, working on “BIG TIME” and developing story arcs such as “Spider-Island,” “Ends of the Earth,” “Alpha,” and “Dying Wish,” and of course the critically acclaimed “Superior Spider-Man.” He also published his latest original title to date, “Fairy Quest” and “Fairy Quest, Outlaws,” with BOOM STUDIOS!
Humberto's other works include “X-traordinary X-Men” alongside Jeff Lemire, Victor Olazaba, and Edgar Delgado, and with Mark Waid on “Champions.” Humberto co-created “Strange Academy” with his friend, writer and artist Skottie Young, and completed 24 incredible issues that tell the powerful story of very particular aspiring students who learn to use magic. Humberto recently worked on a 7-issue series of “Spectacular Spider-Men” and is currently working on the recently announced “Fantastic Four” title, which will be available in July 2025.
